Palatial motives Hotel Castellum, Hollókő
When designing the hotel, we kept in mind to create a building and interior that harmonizes with the traditional old rural houses of the World Heritage Hollókő, but at the same time is very 21st century in its functions and spatial organization.
The minimalist lines of the building, on the edge of the village, with its clean and generous interiors, the use of materials and the motives on the surfaces are clear references to traditional folk architecture. The accentuated wooden beams of the country houses are recognisable, contrasting with the whitewashed surfaces of the walls. All the interior design elements here are inspired by tradition and the old settlement image: earth colours and floral patterns on carpets and wall coverings, borrowed from the palatial and old architectural patterns. This is complemented by the bright colours of the textiles and lighting in the rooms.
